Episodes 18: Robert A. Buell

Robert A. Buell was convicted for the July 17, 1982 murder of 11 year old Krista Lea Harrison. Krista had been only 100 yards from her home when she was kidnapped by Buell. Her body was found 6 days later. It was evidence found at this scene that helped forensic scientist connect Buell to two more murders of young girls. Not limited to just children, Buell also abduct, rape, and torture 28 year old Debbie Davis and 29 year old Patricia Lively. Both Debbie and Patricia survived their attacks. Episodes 17: David Lee Powell

Following his third punishment trial, David Lee Powell was convicted and sentence to death for the 1978 capital murder of Austin Police Officer Ralph Ablanedo. He requests a Certificate Of Appealability ("COA") authorizing him to appeal the district court's denial of federal habeas relief.

Episodes 13-16: JonBenet Ramsey

On December 26th, 1996, 6 year old JonBenet Ramsey was reported missing to Boulder Colorado Police. Her Mother informed the Police that there was a ransom note claiming that the kidnappers were going to kill their daughter if they did not pay the $118,000 as demanded. It wasn't until later, that JonBenet's body was discovered in the basement of the Ramsey home.

Episodes 12: Rudy Eugene

On May 26th, 2012, Miami Police Dispatch received a call about a naked man on the MacAuthor Causeway. Upon the Police's arrival, they found 31 year old Rudy Eugene on top of another person, biting and tearing flesh from 65 year old Ronald Poppo's face. The incident was soon dubbed "The Causeway Cannibal", "The Miama Zombie" and "The Bath Salts Attack" by media from around the world. Episode 12 of Clemency: A True Crime Podcast is Poppo's statement to police and the autopsy report of Rudy Eugene.

On March 21, 1985, Sherry Byrne told her husband that she was going to meet up with family friends, David and Kathy Brewer regarding audio speakers. When Sherry arrived though, she found David alone and the invitation to be a ruse. Brewer then raped, abducted and murdered Byrne. Brewer was convicted of Byrne's murder and sentenced to death. Episode 10: Engelica Castillo

Engelica Castillo was convicted for the murder of her 2 year old cousin, Jada Justice. Castillo was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, while her partner, Timothy Tkachik, received 40 years. This is her Appeal from 2012.

 


Episode 9: Marcus Wesson

This weekend we're focusing on family annihilator and cult leader, Marcus Wesson. Also a self proclaimed Vampire or Immortal God, Wesson greatly secluded and abused his children - children that he had created with his child brides, his own daughters, nieces and granddaughters. When confronted by family members for the release of their children, Wesson went inside and shortly returned covered in blood. Episode 8: Bobby Joe Long

After spending more than 3 decades on death row, Bobby Joe Long's death warrant was signed on April 23, 2019. His date of execution is set for May 23. Known as the Classified Ad Rapist, Long was responsible for a brutal spree of sexual assaults as well as the murders of at least 10 women. Seven days before his execution is to be imposed, he files an emergency motion for a stay of execution. Jeffrey Lundgren is an American self proclaim prophet that is responsible for the death of 5 people. Lundgren orchestrated the mass murder of the Avery family on April 17, 1989. Richard Speck was found guilty of the torture and murder of 8 nursing students from the South Chicago Nursing Community. Speck was sentenced to death by electric chair, but granted immediate stay pending an appeal. This is his Appeals from 1968 and 1972.

"Woman, I have no mercy for you." Susan Atkins along with three other members of the Manson Family entered the home of Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski. The gruesome murder scene was so horrifying it was quickly dubbed the crime of the century.
